Affordable Golf Packages start at $99 per person in the off-season and $119 in the peak season at the Gulf Wing Suites in Yarmouth.

The Bayberry HIlls Golf Course is an 18-hole Bent grass course designed by Geoffrey Cornish and Brain Silva. Bayberry also offers an additional 9-hole course, the Links Nine. The Bass River Golf Course, established in 1900, is a Cape Cod Golf tradition.  You’ll find 18- holes on a course featuring narrow fairways, small greens and views of the Bass River.

When you return to the Gulf Wing Suites Hotel after your golf game there’s a heated indoor pool waiting for you to relax by. During the season there’s also an outdoor pool with sundeck. During April School Vacation Week, Mariner Motor Lodge has great rates and lots of fun events.

From April 18 - 26, otherwise known as April School Vacation, in Massachusetts the Mariner Motor Lodge, in West Yarmouth has great rates and family-friendly events.

First the room rates.  Weekday rates generally range from $49 to $59 and Weekend rates range from $64 to $79. These can change for school vacation week, so call ahead. Tidewater Inn School Vacation Rates start at $69 a night during School Vacation Week.

The Tidwater Inn has just announced special rates for School Vacation Week - which in Massachusetts is from April 17 to April 26. Stay from Sunday through Thursday at the rate is only $69.99 a night. On Friday and Saturday the rate increases to $79.99.

The Bayside Resort has a great heated indoor pool. A year-round vacation option!

The Bayside Resort has a reputation for good customer service and being really clean. A lot of our friends stay there when they visit in the winter because of the heated indoor pool. Leo and I love it when they invite us over to spend the day poolside with them. It really picks up our flagging winter spirits.

Room Rates. I would say the room rates are moderate compared to other Cape Cod lodging options. There basic room during peak season goes for $159 during the week and $179 on the weekend. This is an approximate range. You actually have to get into the booking process to see the actual rate for your room and time period. A deluxe room goes for about $179 midweek and $199 on the weekend. The Jacuzzi Suite is their most deluxe option and goes for about $225 midweek and $245 on the weekend. These suites are designed for couples and feature a king sized bed, and a Jacuzzi tub for 2 located directly in the guestroom. Again you need to call to verify the actual room rates for your vacation stay. Here’s the number 800-243-1114. Of course there are off season rates, which are a lot less.

Room Amenities. Free high-speed wireless internet access, Cable television, Free movies, Pay per view movies, Coffee maker, Hairdryer, Iron and ironing board, Refrigerator Activity, table or desk, 1 king, 2 queen, or 2 hotel double beds, Judith Jackson Spa Series bath products.

You can stay at a Cape Cod hotel and play golf for under $70 this Spring.

I’m still checking out Cape Cod golf packages for Leo’s brother and his friends. I found some mid-week golf packages at the Dockside Hotel Group, which includes the Town n’ Country Motor Lodge, the Mariner Motor Lodge and the Cape Point Hotel. All three hotels are located in West Yarmouth and are AAA approved.

The Mariner Motor Lodge (1-800-445-4050) has a warm family atmosphere with it’s own miniature golf course, two picnic and barbecue areas, children’s play area, summer snack bar, coffee room and dining discounts. If you want to bet the snow will be leaving this month. You can reserve a golf package for $65.90. In April and May the packages goes up to $94.50. And in June you’d pay $104.50.

The Town ‘N Country Motor Lodge (1-800-992-2340) has two outdoor pools, a kiddie pool, a shaded picnic area, and dining discounts. Golf packages start at $77.50 in April. In May ($82.50) and June ($84.50)

The Cape Point Hotel (1-800-323-9505) features VCRs in all rooms, an exercise room, the Upper Deck Sports Loft and the Cabana Bar & Grille. Spring Golf starts at $109.50 in March and April, and increases to $114.50 in June.

The golf packages include one night’s stay and one round of golf including golf cart at any of these golf courses (Ballymeade, Bass River, Bayberry Hills, Bay Pointe, Captains, Crosswinds, Dennis Highlands, Hyannis, Dennis Pines, Falmouth Country Club, Cape Cod Country Club, and Sandwich Hollows.)

All golfers get a $3.00 dining coupon each day. All rates are double occupancy. There are some restrictions during holiday periods. Not all golf courses participate in June. So it’s best to give them a call for specific dates.
