We’re expecting a beautiful weekend on Cape Cod. In the next few days we’ll get rid of this rain and see temperatures in the high 70s for Saturday and Sunday. So it’ll be the perfect late Spring weekend for walking on the beach and browsing shops and museums.

Because we haven’t reached the Memorial Day weekend, you can still get reduced rates. If you’d like to stay on the lower Cape Cod area, take a look at the Fort Hill Bed & Breakfast in Eastham. The Spring rates are in effect until late May. The Fort Hill Bed & Breakfast has 3 rooms - the Emma, the Lucille, and the Nantucket.

The Emma Room is currently billed at $240, the Summer rate will be $265. The Lucille Room Spring Rate is $225 while the Summer Rate is $235. If you’re coming to Cape Cod to be close to nature the Fort Hill Bed and Breakfast is located near beaches, bike trails, and nature walks. The bed & breakfast sits on a hill overlooking a bay.

Memorial Day Weekend is the start to the official summer season on Cape Cod. It used to be the weekend when we would welcome back all our regular summer residents and the tourists would arrive. While that line has seemed to blur in recent years, this weekend is still a major deal around here. And because of that Cape Cod motels and other lodging rates are higher on that weekend. But you can still find affordable deals on Cape Cod on Memorial Day Weekend.

Here are a few that I’ve found so far. Just know, that these numbers can go up or down without notice depending on the economy and weather.  So if you find rates that you like, I would definitely make the reservation and lock them in. Don’t forget state and local taxes and minimum stay requirements. There may be additional charges for individual motels and hotels. So you should always call to confirm.

The Town Crier Motel in Eastham has rates available for Memorial Day Weekend starting at $129/night. Double occupancy. 2 children under 15 can stay free. Extra adults and children are $15 each. It’s $10 each for adults and children 13 and over. An additional $5 for children 12 and Under. Room amenities include color / cable television, microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer, coffee-maker, direct-dial telephone, FREE wireless internet and individual Heat/AC control.

The Earl of Sandwich, on Route 6A in Sandwich has posted that its Memorial Day rates are $85 for a room with a Queen bed and $89 for a room with 2 Double beds. All rooms have either Queen or Double beds, air conditioning, refrigerators, private bath, cable/color television, telephones, and WiFi. Many rooms have canopied beds. A continental breakfast is included in your room rate.

The Carleton Motel in Falmouth rates for the Memorial Day Weekend period are $99.95 for a room with a Queen Bed and $119.95 for a room with two Double Beds. There may be a 3-night minimum stay requirement for Memorial Day Weekend. Amenities include Continental Breakfast, Outdoor Pool, Barbeque Areas, Kids Playground Area, Free High-speed Wireless Internet; In-room Fridge/Microwave/Coffeemaker.

Stay at the Eagle Wing Guest Motel in Eastham for Under $100 from May 1 Until June 11.

The Eagle Wing Guest Motel is located on 2.5 acres, with flower gardens at the front and with a conservation area bordering the backyard. As a result you can just sit there and watch the birds and wildlife. Some rooms have a back door onto a private deck where you can enjoy the Cape Cod scenery. All guest rooms are a short walk to pool surrounded by flowerbeds. Pool use is restricted to registered guests.

The Whalewalk Inn is offering 40% off Room Rates during April, May and the First Two Weeks of June.

You have to be willing to stay 3 nights, from Sunday to Thursday. I think this would be a very good use of vacation and personal days! It’s always a challenge to report room rates, because of all the variables. Generally Off-Season Rates range from $190 to $305 per night. In-Season rates range from $220 to $365. Off-Season rates begin the Tuesday after Columbus Day Weekend and end the Thursday before Memorial Day Weekend. I would be on the elliptical, while Leo, my husband, would love the heated, in-door resistance pool, where you swim against the current. You get to pick how strong you want the current to be. Then we would both hang out in the Swedish-style Sauna. Yes, I can dream on!

Blue Dolphin Inn Memorial Day Weekend Special Stay Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and get Monday for only $49!

The Blue Dolphin Inn is located on Route 6 in Eastham. For Memorial Day weekend the basic room rate is only $129. Your choice of either 1 king bed or 2 queen beds. A two-room suite is $229. Stay Monday and avoid the traffic for only $49. Eastham is way far down the Cape, perfect for getting away from it all. But on Sunday or Monday of Memorial Day weekend you could be looking at a huge traffic jam. Maybe as much as 20 or 30 miles. I’d stay over and go back Tuesday. Seriously, I live about 3 miles from the Sagamore Bridge off of Route 6A. It isn’t uncommon for traffic to start backing up at 10 or 11 am and stay that way all day.

Spring Rates from April 17 to June 25 for a single room range from $59 to $99. The two room suites from $149 to $219.
Early Summer Rates from June 26 to July 23 for a single room range from $109 to $159. The two room suites from $229 to $279 (3-night requirement).
Summer Rates from July 24 to September 6 for a single room start at $119 and go to $159. The two room suites start at $229 and go to $279 (3-night requirement).
