John F. Kennedy is Cape Cod’s most famous resident. Come to the Kennedy Museum and learn about the time that JFK spent on Cape Cod from his early childhood through his presidency. You’ll see him enjoying Cape Cod summers with his legendary parents Joseph and Rose Kennedy and all his brothers and sisters.

See pictures of him sailing his beloved sailboat Victura, a 26-foot Wianno Senior, he received from his parents on his 16th birthday. The sea was always important to Kennedy. In a 1962 speech he said, “”We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch it, we are going back from whence we came.”

The JFK Museum on Main Street, Hyannis contains 80 photographs reflecting the years 1934 to 1963. In addition to the photos, there’s a video narrated by Kennedy-friend, noted newsman, and Martha’s Vineyard resident Walter Cronkite, highlighting the JFK experience on Cape Cod.
